Removal
1. Remove the instrument panel (Chapter 19).
2. Unscrew the speedometer drive cable from the rear of the instrument panel and pass the cable into the engine compartment (photo).
3. Working in the engine compartment, unscrew the cable from the speedometer drive gear and remove it (photo).
Installation
4. Install in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the cable is routed correctly and is not twisted.
