Removal
1. Remove the air filter element (Section 1). Loosen the clamp securing the air intake duct connecting hose to the air filter inlet duct (see illustration).
2. Remove the three retaining nuts on the filter housing, then remove the retaining ring and rubber seal. Remove the retaining nut, remove the washer, then carefully lift the air filter off the carburetor (see illustrations). Disconnect the filter from the intake duct. Also disconnect the vacuum and vent hoses from the base of the air filter.

3. If required, the air intake duct can be separated from the air filter by carefully pressing the clips away from the tabs. The air intake temperature sensor can be unscrewed and removed from the intake duct (see illustrations).

Installation
4. Install in reverse order. Make sure all hoses are connected correctly and securely.
