Removing
Turn on the windshield wipers and stop them in the park position. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. (see warning in Section General information and precautions).
Drive motor
1. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the drive motor.
2. Loosen the drive rod crank nut, remove the washer, then disconnect the crank from the motor spindle.
3. Turn out fixing bolts and remove assembly of the electric motor from the car.

5. Remove wiper arms (see Section Removal and installation of levers of screen wipers).
6. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the drive motor.
7. Give a plastic nut and release clamps of fastening of the fairing panel. Separate the fairing panel from the base of the windshield and take it away from the wiper drive rods.
8. Remove protective caps from spindles of fastening of both levers, then give nuts and remove flat and sealing washers.
9. Remove the drive assembly from its regular place and remove it from the car, remembering the installation position on the assembly supports of various types of washers and spacers.
Note. On left-hand drive models, it may be necessary to release the latches and remove the top section of the heater housing in order to provide sufficient working space.
Installation
Drive motor
1. When installing a new motor, first connect it to the electrical wiring, or directly to the battery in order to bring it to the parking position.
2. Start the engine in its regular place and firmly tighten the mounting bolts.
3. Make sure that both wiper arms are in the correct position (they must be in the parking position), then fit the drive link crank onto the motor spindle. Install the washer, then screw on the fixing nut and tighten it to the required torque.
4. Connect the electrical wiring to the motor, then connect the battery.
Assembling an electric motor with drive rods
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of dismantling. Check for correct placement of washers and spacers. Tighten with the required effort the nuts of the levers.
