Right Hand Drive Models
The brake pedal is integrated into a single assembly with the clutch pedal.
Despite the extremely limited access, it is possible to replace the axial bushings of the pedal without dismantling the entire assembly. Remove the circlips from both ends of the axle and release the bushings from the brackets. Before installation, new bushings should be lubricated with a universal grease such as Litol 24 or G000062. Track correctness of landing in the flutes of lock rings.
Left Hand Drive Models
Removing
1. Remove the clutch pedal.
2. Release the clamp and release the tip of the fastening rod of the pusher of the servo drive of the vacuum brake booster from the pedal.
3. Unhook the return spring from the pedal.
4. Remove the axle sleeve and remove the pedal from the support bracket (with return spring).
5. Check the pedal for signs of wear or mechanical damage. Particular attention should be paid to the condition of the axle bushing. Replace defective components.
Installation
1. Lubricate the pedal socket, the axle bushing and the tip of the push rod mounting with a multi-purpose grease such as Litol 24 or G000062
2. Connect the return spring to the pedal correctly. Having followed the correct engagement of the pusher rod of the brake booster servo in the pedal, put the axle bush in its regular place.
3. Align the pedal with the pusher and tuck the mounting lug into place. Secure the tip with a retainer, making sure the latter fits correctly in its groove.
4. Connect the return spring to the pedal. Before installing the clutch pedal, check that the foot brake is working properly.
