Starter overhaul (Skoda Felicia)
If you suspect that the starter is not functioning properly, it should be removed from the car and taken to a specialized auto repair shop for a thorough inspection and repair. In the vast majority of cases, the cause of the malfunction is wear of the contact brushes. Replacement starter brushes, unlike generator brushes, can be easily purchased at auto accessory stores. The brushes are attached by soldering. Before agreeing to perform a major overhaul, consult about the prices for a replacement starter.
