Removal
Make sure the ignition is off, then disconnect the negative battery cable.
Bosch Mono-Motronic System
1. The ignition coil is installed in the front part of the right wheel arch mudguard, next to the distributor.
2. Disconnect the low voltage connector of the coil and also disconnect the high voltage wire from it
3. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the coil.
Simos 2P System
1. The system coil module is mounted on the spark plugs at the front of the engine.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector on the end of the module.
3. Remove the two mounting bolts at the bottom of the module.
4. Carefully, being careful not to tilt it too much, remove the module from the spark plugs.
Magneti-Marelli 1AV System
1. The ignition coil is installed on the left wheel arch mudguard, next to the ECU.
2. Disconnect the low voltage electrical connector and disconnect the high voltage wire from the coil.
3. Give away the fasteners (nuts/bolts) and remove the coil from the support plate.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Make sure the electrical connections are secure.
