1. Insert the drive shaft (A) of the transmission oil pump into the gearbox until it stops, as shown in the figure below. The drive shaft should be turned slightly.

2. Replace the transmission oil pump seal (B) on the gearbox shown in the figure below. The two centering pins (C) must be inserted into the gearbox housing as shown in the figure below.

Note: Maintain shaft installation dimension "A" - approximately 23 mm.


Note: If there is metal shavings on the sensor gear (B), you should remove them, but you cannot demagnetize the sensor gear.

3. Remove the seal between the transmission oil pump and the gearbox.

4. Clean the mating surfaces of the transmission oil pump and gearbox.



5. Install a new seal in the space between the transmission oil pump and the gearbox, securing it with transmission oil if necessary.

6. Install the transmission oil pump (1) shown in the figure below onto the drive shaft, being careful about the fine spline connection between the oil pump and the drive shaft.

7. Ensure that the transmission oil pump (1) is correctly installed on the centering pins in the gearbox housing, as shown in the figure below.

8. Install new mounting screws and tighten them crosswise to the appropriate tightening torque.

All 4 flat head screws (arrows): tightening torque: 5 Nm + turn 90° (1/4 turn).

9. Install the transmission oil pump cover (A) shown in the figure below, tighten the new mounting screws (arrows) in several steps, applying the appropriate tightening torque.

10. Replace the transmission oil filter (for more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).

11. Add transmission oil to the required level (for more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).

12. Install the entire casing on the left side.

13. Install the left wheel arch liner assembly (for more details, see the corresponding section in the chapter "Body").
