Remove sealant residue from the bearing frame and cylinder head using a chemical sealant solvent. Clean and degrease the mating surfaces.

Note: The sealant must not be expired (see expiration date).

Cut off the tip of the tube of sealant at the mark located on its end (the hole diameter should be approximately 1.5 mm).

Caution! Excess sealant may clog the camshaft bearings. The sealant layer thickness should not exceed the prescribed one.

Apply a strip of sealant "arrow" to the cleaned mating surfaces of the cylinder head, as shown in the figure. Thickness of the sealant strip: 2 mm.

Note: The camshaft housing must be installed within 5 minutes after applying the sealant. After installing the camshaft housing, allow the sealant to harden for about 30 minutes.

Carefully install the camshaft housing onto the cylinder head, taking into account the position of the mounting pins. Tighten the camshaft housing screws.

Installation in reverse order. Install the exhaust gas aftertreatment module. Install the camshaft oil seal. Install the cylinder head cover. Install the timing belt (adjust valve timing).

Caution! Risk of damage to valves and piston crowns after working on the valve mechanism. The hydraulic compensators must have time to compress, so after installing the camshafts, do not start the engine for about 30 minutes. To ensure that no valve comes into contact with the piston crown when starting the engine, carefully turn the crankshaft at least 2 revolutions.
