If the bracket of the output shaft torque sensors "G195" and "G196" is damaged "see arrow", the mechatronics must be completely replaced. Touch it with your hand (without gloves) to the mass before packing the mechatronics to remove electrostatic charge.
Caution. The mechatronics for the dual clutch gearbox "J743" may only be handled or touched after the electrostatic charge has been discharged via a grounded object, such as the main contact to ground. Never touch the plug-in contacts in the gearbox connector with your hands, so that static discharge does not damage the ECU and mechatronics.
Carefully insert the mechatronics unit for the gearbox with a twin-disc clutch "J743" into the gearbox housing.
Pay attention to the correct position of the locating pin "A" in the gearbox housing "see arrow 1" and the bracket of the output shaft torque sensors "G195" and "G196" "B" in the guide "see arrow 2" on the gearbox housing.
Note: Do not pinch the wire of the input shaft torque sensor "G182" and the clutch temperature sensor "G509". When installing the mechatronics for the twin-disc clutch gearbox "J743", do not pinch the wire of the connector "A". If the wire is damaged, the input shaft torque sensor "0182" / clutch temperature sensor "G509" must be replaced. Do not damage the long bracket of the output shaft torque sensors "G195" and "G196" on the back of the mechatronics for the twin-disc clutch gearbox "J743".
Screw in new screws from "1" to "10" by hand. Tighten the screws in the specified sequence with a torque of 5 Nm and turn further by + 90° (¼ turn). Insert wire "A" first into the upper, then into the lower retaining protrusions "see arrows". Connect the connector and lock.
Replace both O-rings "see arrows" at the mechatronics connection. Lubricate the O-rings with DSG oil. Clean the sealing surfaces and remove any remaining oil. Make sure the new oil pan seal is correctly positioned. Install the oil pan. Do not pinch the wires or pipes.
Insert the new screws "see arrows" of the oil sump attachment "A" and tighten them in a cross order in several stages to the specified torque.
Install a new transmission oil pump cover "A" and tighten the screws "see arrows" in several stages to the specified torque. Install the wire holder on the oil pan and tighten the nuts to a torque of 10 Nm.
Connect the connector "A" of the mechatronics as follows: The arrows "D" on the mechatronics "B" and on the connector "A", as well as the projection "C" should be in line and point upwards. Then carefully connect the connector "A" until it stops and lock the bolt by turning it to the right - in the direction of the arrow -.
Connect the lower coolant hose to the radiator "see arrow". Fill in the coolant.
Install the stabilizer bar strut by tightening screws -1, 2 and 3- to the specified torque.
Connect the battery wire to ground.
Caution! Do not start the engine without oil in the gearbox and do not tow the vehicle.
Fill transmission oil. Install the lower noise-insulating engine casing. After installing the mechatronics for the gearbox with a dual-disc clutch "J743", it is necessary to perform the "basic setting".
