Removal
1. Remove the air filter housing assembly (for more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).
2. Remove the soundproofing covering from the engine compartment.
3. Drain the coolant into a pre-prepared container (for more details, see the relevant section in the chapter "Cooling system").
Caution: The fuel system remains under pressure even when the engine is off. To avoid burns and injuries, it is necessary to relieve pressure. To do this, wrap the connection point with a clean rag and, very carefully, loosen the connecting nut so that the fuel begins to flow into the rag. After the pressure has been completely released, completely unscrew the union nut.
4. Press the coupling (1) downwards, then squeeze the tabs of the lock and disconnect the hose shown in the figure below.
5. Squeeze the tabs of the clamp on the hose (2) shown in the figure below for the carbon filter as shown in the figure below.
6. Disconnect and release the hose from the clamps.
7. Release the lock (arrow) and disconnect the vacuum hose (1) shown in the figure below.
8. Release the vacuum hose from the clamps on the air duct pipe (2) as shown in the figure below.
9. Release the air hoses from the clamps on the discharge air duct pipe.
10. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) shown in the figure below.
11. Unlock the clamps (arrows) using the special tool (T10527) and remove the air intake pipe as shown in the figure below.
12. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors shown in the figure below.
- activated Carbon Filter Solenoid Valve 1 Wiring Harness Connector (1);
- throttle body module wiring harness connector (3);
- intake Manifold Air Pressure Sensor Wiring Harness Connector (4).
13. Unscrew the fastening screw (arrow) shown in the figure below.
14. Squeeze the tabs of the lock and disconnect the hose (2) for the activated carbon filter, as shown in the figure below.
15. Unlock and release the fuel supply line (5) and the cooling system line (6) from the clamps on the intake manifold, then move the pipes and hoses to the side.
16. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (2) from the engine oil pressure sensor for the pressure relief line, as shown in the figure below.
17. Loosen the fastening screw (1) and disconnect the cooling system water hose together by releasing the fastening clamps using the special tool (3094), as shown in the figure below.
18. Loosen the mounting clamps (arrows) and disconnect the water hoses shown in the figure below.
Note: Place a rag under the hoses to collect any leaking coolant.
19. Disconnect the wiring harnesses (1), water hose (3) and crankcase ventilation hose (2) from the intake manifold, as shown in the figure below.

20. Unscrew the mounting bolts (arrows) shown in the figure below.
21. First pull the intercooler (1) towards you, then forward in the direction of the arrow to disconnect and remove the cooler from the intake manifold, as shown in the figure below.
22.Put the air-to-air intercooler aside.
23. Unscrew the mounting bolts (arrows) shown in the figure below.
24. Remove the intake manifold assembly (1) as shown in the figure below.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note: O-rings and gaskets must always be replaced after disassembly.
1. Install soundproofing lining in the engine compartment.
2. Install the air filter housing assembly (for more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).
3. Fill the cooling system with coolant.
