Attention! The timing belt must be in good condition, since at maximum engine speed, the load on the belt also increases significantly. Remember that a broken belt can cause serious irreversible damage to the cylinder head.

Max RPM
1. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
2. Make sure the parking brake is securely set and the manual transmission control lever is in neutral. Have an assistant depress the accelerator pedal all the way.
3. With a special tachometer for diesel engines, measure the maximum speed. Compare the measurement result with the requirements Specifications.
Attention! Do not hold the engine at maximum speed for more than two or three seconds continuously.
4. If adjustment is necessary, remove the wire lock and protective cap from the adjusting screw. Loosen the locknut and turn the screw to make the necessary adjustment.
5. Make sure the value is set correctly, then securely tighten the locknut. Replace the protective cap and wire lock.
Idle speed
Idle speed adjustment is carried out using the adjusting screw (2). The screw is locked against rotation by a lock nut.
