1. The idle speed increase valve is installed in the rear part of the engine compartment, near the EGR solenoid valve, and is equipped with a gray electrical connector. The device operates when warming up a cold engine, as well as when the load on the engines increases when equipment is turned on, the operation of which leads to a decrease in normal idle speed (headlights, rear window heater, etc.). In terms of its operating principle, the device can be compared not to a forced air damper on gasoline engines, but rather to an idle speed stabilization device. The procedure for checking the proper functioning of the device is described below.

2. Check that the normal idle speed is set correctly and make the appropriate adjustments if necessary.

3. Start the engine, then turn on as many on-board electrical consumers as possible.

Note: This assumes that the vehicle's battery and charging system are functioning properly. Idle speed should not drop noticeably.

4. With the engine warmed up, disconnect the hose from the vacuum capsule of the speed increase device valve. The speed should increase to the specified value Specifications values.

5. The idle speed increase device cannot be adjusted. If the valve fails or is not functioning properly, check the vacuum hose. Also make sure that the drive cable is not twisted. The cable should be adjusted so that there is a small amount of play between the cable clamp and the actuator lever. A faulty valve must be replaced.
