Caution! Correction of the journal thread is prohibited. A journal with damaged threads must be replaced.
1. On vehicles with ABS, disconnect the wire from the "-" terminal of the battery, disconnect the connector with wires from sensor 20 (see figure Rear suspension parts with disc brakes) wheel speed, unscrew bolt 21 and remove sensor 20.
2. Remove the wheel hub (see subsection 7.3.2).
3. Unscrew the four mounting bolts 8 and remove the brake shield 9 with the journal 15.
4. Remove the journal 15 from the brake shield 9.
5. Install the trunnion in reverse order, replacing the 8 bolts securing the trunnion to the brake shield with new ones.
Tightening torques, Nm
