The upper engine cover is removed together with the oil filler cap. On the cylinder head, under the casing, there is a technological plug for the oil filler neck. If you do not intend to remove the cylinder head cover, close the oil filler neck with a technological plug.
Petrol engines 1.4 l, 55 and 74 kW
Removal the top casing
1 – upper casing; 5 – oil filler cap; 6 – oil level indicator
Pull up on the front of the cover 1 and then on the back until the plastic latches on the cover disengage.
Petrol engines 1.0 l, 37 kW and 1.4 l, 50 kW
Removal the top casing
1 – upper casing; 2 – factory emblem; 3 – plug; 4 – nut; 5 – oil filler cap; 6 – oil level indicator

1. Using a screwdriver, remove the factory emblem 2 and plug 3.
2. Unscrew the two nuts 4 securing the casing.
3. Remove the oil level indicator 6.
4. Remove cover 1.
Diesel engines
Removal the top cover of a diesel engine
1 – upper casing; 5 – oil filler cap; 6 – oil level indicator
Pull up on the front of the cover 1 until the plastic latches on the cover disengage. Then slide the cover forward and remove it.
