2. Remove the timing belt covers, crankshaft pulley, bring the piston of the first cylinder to the TDC position of the end of the compression stroke. (see Sections Bringing the piston of the first cylinder to the top dead center position (TDC) end of compression stroke, Removal and installation of the timing belt and its covers, Removing, checking the condition and installing gears and timing belt tensioner), remove the timing belt, tensioner and camshaft sprocket (see Section Removing, checking the condition and installing gears and timing belt tensioner).
3. Turn out fixing bolts...
..and remove the rear (internal) timing belt cover.
..Under the cover is the camshaft seal.
4. Remove the camshaft seal.
5. Without using any solvent, wipe the walls of the oil seal seat and the surface of the camshaft pin with a dry, non-fluffy rag. Sand the surfaces to remove any burrs, nicks or roughness that could damage the new seal.
6. Lubricate the sponges of the new oil seal with clean engine oil, then put the latter on the camshaft trunnion.
7. Using a hammer and a suitable mandrel (the mandrel should only rest against the hard outer edge of the stuffing box) seat the oil seal perpendicularly into the socket of the casing.
8. Establish an internal cover of a gas-distributing belt on a head of cylinders and tighten bolts of its fastening with the demanded effort.
9. Replace removed components (see Sections Bringing the piston of the first cylinder to the top dead center position (TDC) end of compression stroke, Removal and installation of the timing belt and its covers, Removing, checking the condition and installing gears and timing belt tensioner).
10. Adjust the tension of the auxiliary drive belt (see Section Removing, installing and adjusting the tension force of the auxiliary drive belt).
