1. In case of malfunction of the injection system, first of all, it is necessary to check the condition and reliability of fastening of contact connections of the corresponding electrical circuits. Then check the condition of the air cleaner filter element, spark plugs (don't forget to check the installation of the interelectrode gaps), crankcase ventilation hoses, compression pressure in the cylinders and setting the ignition timing.
2. If the above general checks fail to reveal the fault, the vehicle should be taken to a service station for a more in-depth diagnosis using special equipment. During such a check, the data from the memory of the ECU self-diagnosis module is read. Trying to check the condition of each component of the system one by one on your own is extremely ineffective and may be a waste of time and effort, especially if the fault is dynamic. In addition, the risk of accidentally causing irreversible damage to the ECU is too great.
3. A fairly experienced amateur mechanic with all the necessary equipment (precise tachometer and gas analyzer) can independently check the level of CO in the exhaust gases and the engine speed at idle speed. If the measured parameters are outside the permissible ranges, the car should be driven to a service station for further diagnostics. Manual adjustment of the mixture quality and the number of idle speeds are not provided. Negative test results indicate internal violations of the fuel injection system.
