Removal and installation the instrument panel

Remove the steering wheel. Remove the upper panels (upholstery) of the A-pillar. Remove the upper casing of the steering shaft "1". Press the instrument cluster housing "1" out of the clamps. Remove the instrument panel.

Remove screws "1" (1.5 Nm) securing the lower steering shaft trim "2". Remove the switch on the steering column. Disconnect the plug connector of the multi-function switch (if it is part of the equipment).

Remove the shock absorber panel "1". Remove the fuse panel cover. Remove the fuse panel screws. Press the headlight switch out of the clamps (winter or summer modes). Press the central plug out of the clamps to connect the diagnostic stand.

Disconnect the plug connector for the headlight switch. Press the headlight range control switch into the instrument panel. Having removed the middle air duct grille using a lever action, remove it by squeezing the lower part out of the clamping clips and then gradually releasing the four fasteners at the top using, for example,. plastic wedge. Disconnect the plug connector from the center air vent grille (hazard warning light switch, front passenger airbag deactivation indicator). Lever off the covers around the radio (depending on the type of radio receiver, if it is part of the equipment). Remove the radio receiver (if it is part of the equipment).

After removing the screws (1.5 Nm) "2", pull out the middle panel "1". After pulling the plug connector through the hole, remove the radio wiring harness and the panel. Remove the screws (1 Nm) securing the air conditioning control panel.

Remove the window heating and ESP switches. Disconnect the plug connectors from both switches. After disconnecting the plug connectors, remove the air conditioner control panel. For vehicles with "Climatik" air conditioning, the Bowden cable drive for the air regulation control device must be disconnected. After removing the support screws (1.5 Nm) "2", remove the upper glove compartment "1". Using a lever action, remove the lower glove compartment screw cap -arrow-.

Remove the screw under the cap (2 Nm). Remove the shock absorber panel under the glove compartment. Using a lever action, remove the instrument panel side covers "1" and "2". Remove the airbag mounting screws "Airbag" "1" for front seat passenger (9 Nm) "2". Pull out the "Airbag" airbag cover upwards. Remove the airbag cover. Pull the airbag module slightly out and disconnect the connector.
After removing the Airbag system module, carefully place it.

Remove the retaining screws "2" (2 Nm). Disconnect the sun sensor plug connector "3" (depending on the vehicle's equipment). Disconnect the glove compartment light switch connector (depending on the vehicle's equipment). Disconnect the front passenger glove compartment light plug connector. Disconnect the air conditioning glove box supply hose (depending on the vehicle's equipment). Remove the instrument panel "1".

Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of actions.
Important: When removing the lower steering shaft cover, it is necessary to correctly adjust the distance between the cover and the steering wheel. If the K75 Airbag system indicator indicates a malfunction after assembly, you need to reset the fault memory and query it again. After disconnecting and then reconnecting the wire connecting the battery terminal to the ground (body) of the vehicle, some additional work must be performed.
Removal and installation the central pipe of the instrument panel

Remove the instrument panel. Remove the safety support in front of the clutch pedal. Remove the steering column from the center pipe. Remove the relay cabinet from the central pipe. Remove the Comfort system electrical equipment control unit from the central pipe. Remove the headlight control unit. Remove the spacer for the defrost heater grilles and the spacer for the middle blower nozzles. Remove the heater module mounting brackets from the central pipe - 5 Nm. Remove the mounting screws (20 Nm) and the frequency stop screws. Remove the waterproof casing cover. Remove screw "1" (25 Nm) in the waterproof housing. If the frequency stop is removed, remove the screw - 2 - (9 Nm) and remove the stop. Release all electrical wires from the central pipe. Remove screw (20 Nm) "1" from instrument panel support "2".

After removing the support screws "1" (20 Nm), pull out the central pipe "2".

Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of actions.
