2. Remove the auxiliary drive belt pulleys and the upper timing belt cover, then bring the piston of the first cylinder to the TDC position of the end of the compression stroke, remove the timing belt, its tensioner and the camshaft toothed wheel (see section Bringing the piston of the first cylinder to the top dead center (TDC) position at the end of the compression stroke, Removal and installation the timing belt and its covers, Removal, condition check and installation of gears and timing belt tensioner).
3. After unscrewing the mounting bolts, remove the rear part from the engine (internal) timing belt cover.

4. Following the instructions given in the relevant Sections of this Chapter, perform the following procedures:
- a) Unbolt the first camshaft bearing cap and remove the oil seal;
- b) Lubricate the new oil seal with clean engine oil and install it on the camshaft journal;.
- c) Lubricate the mating surface, install the first camshaft bearing cap and tighten its mounting nuts in several steps to the required force.
5. Reverse the order of disassembly and replace all components that were removed for access purposes. Do not forget to adjust the tension of the gas distribution and auxiliary belts.
