Steering column bracket mount
1 – lower mounting bolt; 2 – upper mounting bolt; 3 – instrument panel bracket; 4 – steering column bracket
1. Remove the instrument panel (see subsection 11.6).
2. Remove the steering column (see subsection 8.3.1).
3. Unscrew bolt 8 (see figure Steering column mount) fastenings and disconnect the damper 7 from the bracket 4.
4. Unscrew two bolts 2 (see the figure Steering column bracket mount) upper bracket mount.
5. Unscrew the two bolts 1 of the lower bracket mount and remove the bracket 4.
6. Install the bracket in place and screw in the two lower mounting bolts 1 by hand without tightening.
7. Tighten the two upper bracket mounting bolts 2 to the specified torque.
8. Finally, tighten the two lower bracket mounting bolts 1 to the required torque.
9. Reassemble in reverse order.
