Removing
Note. When assembling the car, the ball joints are riveted to the lower suspension arms. In the process of car maintenance, rivets are replaced with bolted fasteners.
1. Remove the lower suspension arm (see Section Removal, overhaul and installation of lower front suspension arms).
2. Clamp the lever in a vise and drill out the heads of the rivets securing the ball joint on it. Push out the rivet rods with a punch and remove the support from the lever.
Installation
1. Install a new ball joint on the lever, insert the mounting bolts into the holes from under the rivets from above. Screw on the nuts and tighten them to the required torque.
2. Install the lower arm on the car (see Section Removal, overhaul and installation of lower front suspension arms).
