Important: To better assess the thickness of the brake pads, the wheels should be removed. Do not mix up the wheels (mark them).

After unscrewing the wheel mounting bolts, remove the wheel. The wear limit of brake shoe linings "a" is 7.6 mm, including the backing plate. If the thickness of the brake lining (incl. base plate) will become less than 7.6 mm (wear limit), then it is absolutely necessary to replace the brake linings on the entire bridge. At the same time, you should also check the brake discs for damage (risks, cracks) and wear and tear (minimum thickness). With the wheels in the marked position, tighten the wheel mounting bolts to 120 Nm.

At the same time, the brake drums should also be checked for damage (risks, cracks) and wear and tear (maxim, diameter).

Important: Avoid contaminating the brake linings with brake fluid or grease. After replacing the brake pads, firmly press the brake pedal all the way down several times with the vehicle stopped until the brake pads reach the operating position.
