For the left oil seal

Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left. After removing the wheel, lift the car. Remove the lower engine cover, if equipped. Remove the liner (lining) of the wing from the left wheel well. Remove the propeller shaft from the flange shaft. Unscrew the screws. Unscrew the "arrow" connecting rod of the stabilizer "2".

For the right oil seal

Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right. Remove the lower engine cover, if equipped. Remove the cardan shaft from the flange hall.

Continuation for both sealing rings

Tie the cardan shaft as high as possible. At the same time, do not damage the protective paint coating of the cardan shaft. Place a collecting container under the gearbox. Unscrew the flange shaft mounting screw; for this purpose, the shaft with the flange should be fixed from turning. Remove the shaft with flange, including the spring. Remove the shaft seal ring with flange.

Installation

For the left oil seal

Press the new sealing ring (oil seal) in until it stops. Make sure the ring does not become distorted.

For the right oil seal

Hammer the new sealing ring into the bushing until it stops; do not jam the ring when hammering it in.

Continuation for both sealing rings

Fill the space between the working edges of the ring with sealing grease "G 052 128 A1". Then, install in reverse order, observing the following. Check the transmission oil level and, if necessary, top it up to the lower edge of the filler hole. Check the kinematics of the vehicle's axle suspension.
