The exhaust valve, installed in the plug of the expansion tank, maintains the pressure within the specified limits and prevents damage to the system elements. A cap with a defective valve must be replaced.
1. Remove cover 4 (see fig. Radiator of the cooling system) expansion tank.
2. Clean the inside surface of the cover from dirt.
3. Install the plug on the tester, which is a manual piston pump with a pressure gauge.
4. Increase the pressure with the tester pump to 0.12 MPa. Within 10 seconds, the pressure should not decrease.
5. Pressurize to 0.15 MPa: The outlet valve should open, depressurize to 0.12 MPa and close.
