Gasoline engine water pump

If a water pump leaks or its bearings are damaged, the pump must be replaced.
1. Remove the engine splash shield.
2. Drain the coolant (see subsection 5.13).
3. Remove the camshaft drive belt (see subsection 2.4.2).
4. Remove three bolts 4 and 12 (see fig. Gasoline engine water pump) fasteners and remove the rear cover 5 of the camshaft drive belt.
5. Carefully remove water pump 3 from the engine.
6. Replace pump gasket 2 with a new one regardless of its condition.
7. Install the water pump to the engine with a new gasket so that the pump nozzle is pointing down.
8. Establish a back cover 5 of a belt of a drive of a camshaft and tighten bolts of its fastening.
9. Install the drive belt and adjust its tension.
10. Pour fluid into the cooling system. The tightening torque of the water pump mounting bolts and the crankshaft drive belt rear cover is 15 Nm.
