If the water pump leaks or its bearings are damaged, the pump must be replaced.

1. Remove the engine splash shield.

2. Drain the coolant (see subsection 5.13).

3. Remove the camshaft drive belt (see subsection 2.4.1).

4. Loosen the mounting bolts 1 and carefully remove the water pump 2 from the engine.

5. Replace the sealing ring 3 if it is torn or has lost its elasticity. It is recommended to replace the ring with a new one, regardless of its condition.

6. Install sealing ring 3 on water pump 2, after cleaning and lubricating the ring with clean coolant.



7. Install water pump 2 on the engine so that the pump pipe is facing downwards.

8. Tighten the pump mounting bolts 1. The tightening torque for the water pump mounting bolts is 15 Nm.

9. Install the drive belt and adjust its tension (see subsection 2.4.1).

10. Fill the cooling system with fluid (see subsection 5.13).
