If a water pump leaks or its bearings are damaged, the pump must be replaced.
1. Remove the engine splash shield.
2. Drain the coolant (see subsection 5.13).
3. Remove the camshaft drive belt (see subsection 2.4.1).
4. Turn away bolts 1 of fastening and carefully remove the water pump 2 from the engine.
5. Replace torn or loose O-ring 3. It is recommended to replace the O-ring with a new one regardless of its condition.
6. Install O-ring 3 on water pump 2 after cleaning and lubricating the ring with clean coolant.
7. Install the water pump 2 on the engine with the pump nozzle pointing down.
8. Tighten bolts of 1 fastening of the pump. The tightening torque of the water pump mounting bolts is 15 Nm.
9. Install the drive belt and adjust its tension (see subsection 2.4.1).
10. Pour liquid into the cooling system (see subsection 5.13).
