Removing and installing the piston is done in the same way as for the FS-III, FS-II, or C54-II disc brake caliper. Insert a wooden block to prevent damage to the piston when pushing it out. Press the piston out of the caliper support of the "arrow" disc wheel brake mechanism using compressed air.

Important: When removing the sealing ring, be careful not to damage the cylinder surface.

Remove the sealing ring using a plastic wedge.

Installation

After cleaning the piston and sealing ring with alcohol, dry them. Before installing the disc brake caliper, lightly lubricate the piston and sealing ring with lithium-based grease. Place a new sealing ring into the groove of the disc brake caliper.

Important: When carrying out repairs, it is essential to install a complete repair kit. New disc brake calipers are filled with brake fluid and have been de-aerated. In case of repair, it is absolutely necessary to first properly bleed the air from the disc brake calipers before installing them in the vehicle (without overlay). Lightly lubricate the wheel brake cylinder, piston and sealing ring with lithium-containing grease.
