Remove the lower cover on the driver's side.

Remove the left footwell air duct nozzle.
Cars with air conditioning
Remove the left footwell air duct nozzle.
Vehicles with the "Comfort" system electrical equipment central control unit "J393"
Remove the central control unit for the electrical equipment of the "Comfort" system - J393-.
Continued for all vehicles
Remove the brake light switch. Disconnect the plug connector from the accelerator pedal position sensor "G79". Separate the brake pedal from the brake booster. Unscrew nut "1".
Important: Bearing journal bolt (bearing) in the figure it is closed by a supporting body.
Remove the bearing journal bolt (bearing) "arrows". Remove brake pedal "2".

Remove the support journal "1" from the hub "3" of the brake pedal.
Important: Removed bearing bushings must be replaced.
Putting on the puller "Kukko 21/02" onto the bearing sleeve "2" and move it apart.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of actions.
Important: Do not tilt the bearing sleeve when installing.
If the bearing bushings were removed, new ones must be used. The bearing bushings must be pushed in until they stop. Brake pedal contact areas (bearing bolt and sleeve) should be lubricated with polyurea grease "G 052 142 A2".
Adjust and install the brake light switch. Perform a vehicle system test using a diagnostic tool.
