Important: Screws on chassis parts with rubber-metal bearings must always be tightened in the unloaded position (curb weight of the vehicle) - the car is not loaded. Before you start work, you should know the size "a".
Release the parking brake lever. Remove the storage shelf and armrest. While pressing the brake pedal, install the brake pedal holding device. This prevents leakage of brake fluid from the brake system and the ABS hydraulic device.

After loosening the adjusting nut, disconnect the parking brake cable from the alignment clamp. Remove the wheels.

Disconnect the parking brake cables from the holders.

Pull the parking brake drive cables "2" in the direction of the arrow out of the guide tube "1".

Release clamp "3" from the brake line holder (right side). On the left side, you need to remove the brake line clamp from the body. Disconnect the brake line.
Important: Seal the brake line with plugs.
Disconnect the ABS speed sensor connectors. Release the ABS speed sensor wires from the clamps on the axle hanger. Remove the coil springs.

Caution: Before you begin removing the rear suspension (axle), you must support the vehicle on both sides to the lift console. If the vehicle is not secured, there is a risk of it slipping off the cantilever beam of the removal and installation device.
After removing the plugs from the longitudinal beam, tighten the fastening clamp. Tie the vehicle to the lift console on both sides. Loosen the front fastening of the rear wheel arch liner (wing).

Insert wooden board "A" into the tip. Support the rear axle with a tool for removing and installing the engine and gearbox with a tip. Secure the rear axle to the engine and gearbox removal and installation device using a mounting clamp. Remove the "arrow" screws from the lower shock absorber mounts on the axle suspension.

Important: To continue the removal, a second mechanic must be involved.
Remove screws "1" from the rear axle housing support brackets. Lower the rear axle using a tool for removing and installing the engine and gearbox with a tip.

Installation
Important: The rear suspension support bolts must not be installed into the profile of the inner "arrow" part of the rubber-metal support. Otherwise, the rear suspension would be installed at an angle and the support would become unusable. In this case, it is necessary to replace the support. For clarity, the support is shown on the removed rear suspension. When tightening the bolts and nuts of the axle housing support brackets and the lower shock absorber mounts, the axle suspension must maintain dimension "a" (vehicle in unloaded position - vehicle curb weight).

Before installing the rear suspension, lubricate the kidney-shaped cavities of the rubber-metal mount with assembly paste "G 052 150 A2." Place the suspension into the axle housing support brackets and insert screws and nuts "1" without tightening yet. Install the lower shock absorber mounting screws to the axle suspension without tightening them yet. Install coil springs. Tighten the rear suspension bolts to the axle housing support brackets and the shock absorber lower mount bolts to the axle suspension to the specified torque - the vehicle must be in an unloaded position (curb weight of the vehicle). Connect the brake line, install new clamps for the brake line retainer and the brake line holder on the body. Remove the brake pedal holding device. Bleed the brake system. Adjusting the parking brake system. Connect the plug connectors to the ABS speed sensors and secure the sensor wires to the clamps on the axle suspension. After installing the wheels, tighten them. Install the storage shelf and armrest. Take measurements of the vehicle.
