Add 1 liter of ATF fluid. Remove the "VAS 6262" oil filling adapter from the quick-release coupling "VAS 6262/2". Observe whether fluid flows out of the quick release coupling hole "VAS 6262/2" aTF fluid. If ATF fluid is leaking from the quick release coupling hole "VAS 6262/2" if the ATF level drops, the ATF level is normal. Allow the excess ATF to drain until it begins to drip. If ATF fluid comes out of the quick release coupling hole "VAS 6262/2" if it does not flow out, but only drips, then the ATF fluid level is not normal and it is necessary to add some more ATF4 fluid.

Unscrew the quick release coupling "VAS 6262/2". Fit the ATF fluid inspection screw plug "arrow 1" with a new sealing ring and tighten it to the specified tightening torque. This completes the ATF fluid check.

Important: The ATF inspection screw must be closed again no later than at a temperature of 45°C (in countries with warm climates - 50°C) or, if necessary, the engine must be switched off, the gearbox must be allowed to cool down and the inspection repeated.

Install the lower engine cover. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the central plug for connecting the diagnostic stand.
