Graph of the dependence of the fuel temperature sensor resistance on the sensor temperature

1. Disconnect the wire from the "-" terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the upper engine cover (see subsection 2.1).

3. Disconnect connector 1 with wires from fuel temperature sensor 2.
4. Remove the sensor and, connecting an ohmmeter to its contacts, measure the sensor resistance.
5. Heat the sensor by placing it in hot water (temperature approximately 80°C) and measure its resistance again. Compare the obtained results with the graph (see the figure Graph of the dependence of the fuel temperature sensor resistance on the sensor temperature). For example, at 30°C, the sensor resistance should be 3790–4270 ohms, and at 80°C, 600–660 ohms. If the measured resistance does not match the specified value, replace the sensor.
