1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «-» battery.
2. Remove the upper engine cover (see subsection 2.1).
3. Disconnect the block 1 with wires from the fuel temperature sensor 2.
4. Remove the sensor and, by connecting an ohmmeter to its contacts, measure the resistance of the sensor.
5. Warm up the sensor by immersing it in hot water (temperature around 80°C), and measure its resistance again. Compare your results with the graph (see fig. Graph of fuel temperature sensor resistance versus sensor temperature). For example, at a temperature of 30°C, the resistance of the sensor should be 3790–4270 Ohm, and at a temperature of 80°C, it should be 600–660 Ohm. If the measured resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
