Removal and installation the G250 power steering sensor and the TRW power steering sensor wire
Disconnect the battery.
Important: For better access to the wire holders, it is possible to remove the air filter.
Raise the car. Remove the left front wheel. Remove the lower engine cover. Remove the left front wheel arch (fender) liner.
Important: The "G250" power steering sensor on the TRW power steering system has a detachable wire.
The TRW "G250" power steering sensor is equipped with a detachable wire: Disconnect wire "2" from the "G250" power steering sensor ("4"). Unscrew the screws. Remove the power steering sensor "G250" ("2") with the seal "3" from the power steering gear housing.

Free the power steering sensor wire "G250" - along the entire length of the wire from the holders (part of the wire see. "arrows").

Remove sensor wire "1" from the spacer holder "arrow". Remove the left bumper trim piece or the left fog lamp.

Important: Due to insufficient space to remove the sensor wire, the power steering pump unit must be partially released (unhooked).
Partially release (unhook) the power steering pump unit by removing the "arrow" screws.

Disconnect the plug connector from the power steering pump assembly "arrow." The power steering sensor wire should be removed.

Installation
Installation is performed in reverse order, observing the following instructions: Use a new seal for the "G250" power steering sensor! Secure the entire length of the "G250" power steering sensor wire to the holders. Attach the power steering sensor wire to the spacer holder. Tighten the power steering pump unit to the body. Install the left bumper cover and the left fog light, respectively.
Important: If necessary, install the battery and battery holder. Next, if necessary, you should install an air filter. Follow the instructions for reconnecting the battery.
Connect the battery. Perform a vehicle system test with a diagnostic tool.
