Engines with air conditioning compressor

To do this, tilt the tensioner to the side with a ring spanner "in the direction of the arrow".

Engines without an air conditioning compressor

To do this, tilt the tensioner with an open-end wrench "in the direction of the arrow".

Continued for all engines

Secure the tensioner with a wrench or a 4mm Allen head screw. Remove the poly V-belt.

Installation

Place the poly V-belt on the crankshaft pulley. Finally, put the belt on the tension roller. Further installation is carried out in a similar manner, in the opposite sequence of actions than removal.

Important: Before installing the poly V-belt, you should check the tightness of the installation of all units (alternator, liquid cooling system pump or also an air conditioning compressor), pulleys, tensioners and rollers. When installing a poly V-belt, it is necessary to ensure the correct direction of its movement and the correct installation of the belt on the pulleys and rollers.

Start the engine and check the running of the poly V-belt.

Important: If during engine repair it is discovered that the engine oil contains an increased amount of metal shavings or abraded particles (for example, due to seizure of connecting rod bearings), then it is necessary to carefully calculate the engine lubrication channels to avoid subsequent damage. Before installation, lubricate all bearings and working surfaces with engine oil.
