Parking brake adjustment with rear disc brakes

1. Remove the floor console.
2. Make sure the parking brake lever is pushed all the way down.
3. To self-adjust the elements of the parking brake several times sharply press the brake pedal.
4. Tighten adjusting nut 3 (see fig. Parking brake cable equalizer) until the levers 2 (see fig. Parking brake adjustment with rear disc brakes) on the brake mechanisms of the rear wheels will move away from the stops 1.
5. Measure the distance a between lever 2 and stop 1 on both sides. It should not exceed 3 mm, and the sum of the values of a on both sides should be within 1–4 mm.
6. To self-adjust the parking brake elements, tighten and release the parking brake lever three times.
7. Lower the parking brake lever all the way down and turn the rear wheels by hand. They should rotate evenly, without jamming.
8. The wheels should not turn when the lever is raised five to seven clicks. Otherwise, repeat the adjustment.
9. Install the floor console.
