1. Remove the floor console.

2. Make sure the parking brake lever is fully depressed.

3. To self-set the parking brake components, press the brake pedal sharply several times.

4. Tighten the adjusting nut 3 (see figure Parking brake cable equalizer) until the moment when the levers 2 (see figure Adjusting the parking brake with rear disc brakes) on the brake mechanisms of the rear wheels will move away from the stops 1.

5. Measure the distance a between lever 2 and stop 1 on both sides. It should not exceed 3 mm, and the sum of the values of a on both sides should be within 1–4 mm.

6. To self-set the parking brake components, tighten and release the parking brake lever three times.

7. Lower the parking brake lever all the way down and turn the rear wheels by hand. They should rotate evenly, without jamming.

8. The wheels should not turn when the lever is raised five to seven clicks. Otherwise, repeat the adjustment.

9. Install the floor console.
