2. Raise and securely support the rear of the vehicle.
3. Remove the wheel after loosening its mounting bolts on the vehicle while it is on the ground.
4. Lower the parking brake lever all the way down.
5. Loosen the adjusting nut 4 (see figure Installing the parking brake lever) and disconnect the ends of the cables 7 from the equalizer 3.
6.Disconnect the holder 9 (see figureRear suspension parts with drum brakes) from the rear suspension beam.
7. Disconnect the cables from the spring holders 16.

8. Remove the brake drum.
9. Disconnect the cable from lever 8 (see figure Rear wheel drum brake mechanism parts) manual drive.
10. Pull the cable end out of the brake shield 14.
11.Remove cable 7 (see figureInstalling the parking brake lever) from the guide tube 6.

12.Using a screwdriver, remove the spring clip 1 (see figureDisconnecting the parking brake cable).
13. By pressing the lever 6 of the hand drive in the direction indicated by the arrow, disconnect the cable 4 of the parking brake drive from it.
14.Remove cable 7 (see figureInstalling the parking brake lever) from the guide tube 6.
15. Install the cable in reverse order.
16. In this case, replace the holder 9 (see figure Rear suspension parts with drum brakes) cable. The ring on the cable sheath must be located between the clamps of the holder 9.
17. Adjust the parking brake.
