2. Raise and secure the rear of the vehicle.
3. Remove the wheel by first loosening the bolts of its fastening on the car standing on the ground.
4. Lower the parking brake lever all the way down.
5. Loosen adjusting nut 4 (see fig. Installing the parking brake lever) and disconnect the ends of the cables 7 from the equalizer 3.
6. Detach holder 9 (see fig. Rear suspension parts with drum brakes) from the rear suspension beam.
7. Disconnect the cables from the spring holders 16.
Drum brake
8. Remove the brake drum.
9. Disconnect the cable from the lever 8 (see fig. Parts of the brake drum mechanism of the rear wheel) manual drive.
10. Pull the tip of the cable out of the brake shield 14.
11. Remove cable 7 (see fig. Installing the parking brake lever) from guide tube 6.
Disc brake
12. Using a screwdriver, remove the spring clip 1 (see fig. Disconnecting the parking brake cable).
13. Having pressed the lever 6 of the hand drive in the direction indicated by the arrow, disconnect the cable 4 of the parking brake drive from it.
14. Remove cable 7 (see fig. Installing the parking brake lever) from guide tube 6.
15. Install cable in reverse order.
16. At the same time, replace the holder 9 (see fig. Rear suspension parts with drum brakes) cable. The ring on the cable sheath must be between the clamps of the holder 9.
17. Adjust the parking brake.
