Place the flexible shaft onto the air distribution flap adjuster until it locks into position. Using a flexible shaft, set the windshield air supply flap to the vertical position (to the "open" position). Turn the rotary knob for air distribution control on the heater control unit to the "windshield defrost" position. In this position, push the flexible shafts onto the heater control unit so that they engage in the fixed position.

Important: If the instrument cluster is installed, the air intake flap for the windshield is not visible. In this case, a flexible shaft should be installed in the heater control device; leave the fresh air intake fan running at the highest setting. If, when the "windshield defroster" setting is selected, air also comes out of the defroster grille for the windshield defroster, and not from the footwell air vents, then this means that the flexible shaft is installed correctly. Otherwise, you must remove the flexible shaft from the heater control unit, turn the rotary control knob half a turn (180°) and reinsert the flexible shaft. Repeat the test.

Installation of flexible mixing shaft (temperature) dampers

Place the flexible shaft on the mixing adjustment device (temperature) the valve so that it enters a fixed position. Turn the flexible shaft of the mixing adjustment device (temperature) turn the damper to the right until the control is in its extreme position (all the way to the stop). Turn the temperature control knob to the left until it reaches the "cold" position. In this position, insert the flexible shaft into the heater control until it locks into place. Check that the temperature control knob can be turned freely from the "cold" to the "warm" position.
