Removal the accelerator pedal
1 – pedal bracket; 2 – connecting block; 3 – accelerator pedal position sensor; 4 – pedal mounting nut; 5 – accelerator pedal
The accelerator pedal is not mechanically connected to the throttle valve. The pedal is equipped with a pedal position sensor 3. When you press the pedal, a signal from the sensor is sent to the engine control unit, which in turn gives a command to open the throttle valve.
If necessary, change pedal 5 together with sensor 3, since this design is non-disassemblable.
1. Disconnect the wire from the "-" terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the lower instrument panel trim on the driver's side (see subsection 11.6).
3. Disconnect connector 2 with wires from sensor 3.
4. Unscrew the three nuts 4 of the fastening and remove the pedal 5 as an assembly.
5. Install the pedal in reverse order. The tightening torque of the accelerator pedal mounting nut is 10 Nm.
