The weight of the vehicle with a full fuel tank, a full windshield washer fluid reservoir, a spare tire, a tool kit, a jack and without a driver. The spare wheel, tool kit and jack must be kept in the place designated for this purpose by the manufacturer. Rubber-metal bearings have a limited range of rotation. Therefore, suspension parts with rubber-metal mounts must be tightened in a position corresponding to the position occupied during vehicle operation. Otherwise, the rubber-metal support is too tense, which would lead to a reduction in its service life. Before starting work, measure, for example with a measuring tape, the dimension "a" from the center of the wheel to the lower edge of the fender. The measurement must be carried out on the vehicle resting on its wheels in an unloaded position (with curb weight) - the car is not loaded. Mark the measured value. It will turn out to be bypassable while tightening the screws. before lifting the corresponding wheel bearing cap, it is necessary to tie the vehicle with a clutch clamp to the cantilever beam of the removal and installation device.
Caution: If the vehicle is not secured, there is a risk of it slipping off the cantilever beam of the removal and installation device.
Remove the wheel. Turn the wheel hub until one of the holes for the wheel mounting screw is in the upper position. Install the mounting bracket using the wheel mounting bolt onto the wheel hub. Tightening the corresponding screw is only possible if dimension "a" is reached (the distance from the center of the wheel to the bottom edge of the fender), which was measured before the start of work. Raise the wheel bearing housing cover with an engine and gearbox removal and installation tool until dimension "a" is reached.
Caution: Do not raise or lower the vehicle while the engine and transmission lifting device is located under the vehicle. The engine and gearbox removal and installation device should not be left under the vehicle longer than absolutely necessary.
Tighten the appropriate screws to the specified tightening torque. Lower the wheel bearing housing cover. Remove the engine and gearbox removal and installation tool from under the vehicle. Remove the mounting bracket. Remove the mounting clamp.
