Installation of brake pads for the FS II type brake mechanism
1 – support; 2 – outer brake shoe; 3 – inner brake shoe
FS II brake pads and discs (see figure Front brake mechanism type FS II) they are replaced in the same way as the brake pads and discs of the FS III type (see subsection 9.5.1). The only difference is in the marking of the brake pads: pad 3 (see figure Installation of brake pads of the FS II type brake mechanism), the friction lining with a smaller friction area should be located on the inside (piston sides), on the outside, shoe 2 is installed, the friction lining of which has a larger friction area.
| Nominal thickness of friction lining (with a base), mm | 19,6 |
| Minimum permissible friction lining thickness (with base/without base), mm | 7,0/ 2,0 |
| Nominal thickness of brake disc, mm | 18 |
| Minimum permissible thickness of the brake disc, mm | 15 |
