Important: Drained hydraulic fluid cannot be reused. Some of the working fluid for hydraulic systems remains after draining in the pump unit and in the hydraulic system pipelines. Do not clamp hydraulic system lines with any hose clamp or other device! Disconnecting them may damage the pressure and return lines. When bending the pressure line and return line, the bend diameter must not be less than 100 mm to avoid damaging them. Due to the fact that different variants use different sized batteries, it may happen that the receiver cover is covered by the battery holder. In this case, it is necessary to remove the air filter, battery and battery holder.
Disconnect the battery.
Important: If necessary, remove the air filter. Next, if necessary, remove the battery and battery holder.
Unscrew the cover "1" of the working fluid receiver for the hydraulic systems "2" of the power steering pump unit.

The hydraulic fluid should be drained through the filling hole using a drain flask. Remove the left front wheel. Raise the car. Remove the lower engine cover. Remove the left wheel arch (wing) liner.
Vehicles with additional cooling fan control unit "J293"
Disconnect plug connectors "1" and "2" on the additional cooling fan control unit "J293" "4". Unscrew nuts "3". Remove the additional cooling fan control unit "4".

Continued for all vehicles
After opening the spacer, remove pressure line "3," return line "2," and the wire from the power steering sensor "G250." Place a collecting pan under the pump unit to catch any excess fluid.

Disconnect plug connectors "1", "2" and "3" from pump unit "4".
- 1 - CAN-BUS plug connector and clamp 15
- 2 - Plug connector of the wire connecting to the ground (housing) and clamp 30
- 3 - Plug connector of the power steering sensor "G250"
Important: Some of the hydraulic fluid remains in the pump unit. When the pressure line is removed, the remaining hydraulic fluid will leak out. When tying the hydraulic system pipeline, its bending radius must not be less than 100 mm.
After opening the spring clamp "1" on the return line, carefully disconnect the return line from the receiver neck of the pump unit "3".

The return line and the receiver neck should be covered with a plastic bag to protect against contamination and secured with adhesive tape. After unscrewing the pressure line "2" from the pump unit "3", tie it up. The threaded hole for the pressure line "2" on the pump unit should be closed with a plastic shut-off plug. Pressure line "2" should be covered with a plastic bag and secured with adhesive tape. Unscrew the "arrow" screws.

In the downward direction, remove the pump unit "3" with the mounting bracket "4".
Installation
Important: Use only original spring clamps. Install the spring clamp using pliers. Drained hydraulic fluid cannot be reused. After installing the pump unit, it is necessary to fill it with new working fluid. When installing the pressure line to the power steering pump unit, a new O-ring seal must be used.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of actions. In this case, the following instructions must be observed. When tightening the nuts to secure the mounting bracket to the power steering pump unit, be sure to hold the rubber support.
Caution: When connecting the jumper wires to the booster battery, please observe the applicable safety regulations!
If necessary, connect the removed battery with auxiliary wires to connect the starter to the auxiliary battery. If necessary, an air filter should be installed. After filling the hydraulic system with working fluid, remove air from the steering system. If necessary, disconnect the auxiliary wires to connect the starter to the auxiliary battery. If necessary, remove the air filter. If necessary, install the battery and battery holder. If necessary, an air filter should be installed. Connect the battery. Implement automatic control. Troubleshoot. Reset the contents of the fault memory.
